yum Date Tamarind tchuney



Fixings 

2 glasses dates (khajur), deseeded 

1/4 glass tamarind (imli), deseeded 

1 glass ground jaggery (gur) 

1 tsp bean stew powder 

a squeeze of asafoetida (hing) 

salt to taste 

Technique 

Wash the dates and tamarind and place them in a pan. 

Include the jaggery, stew powder, asafoetida, salt and some water and stew for 20 to 25 minutes. 

Cool and strain the blend through a strainer. 

Use as required. Store refrigerated. 

Tips 

You can likewise purée the chutney in a nourishment processor and after that strain it.
